Janowitz, Ph.D.

Jeffrey has
worked in the field of talent and organizational capability for over
20 years. He delivers breakthrough results in Strategic Leadership
Effectiveness, Team Effectiveness, Succession, Talent Pipeline
Optimization, and Organization Effectiveness. His clients include
global technology companies, national and regional healthcare
companies, global automotive companies, national financial services
companies, and global pharmaceutical companies, among others.
He has expertise
working nationally and internationally as well as both internally
and externally. Internal roles have included serving as consulting
services practice leader for a national health maintenance company
in the US where he streamlined a performance management system,
coached senior executives and teams, and synergized the change
management and program management methodologies. Before that he
served as CPD’s General Manager during a period of rapid company
growth and was responsible for global operations, which included the
establishment of CPD’s corporate presence in the UK.
Jeffrey’s
success as an external consultant has been with CPD, Booz & Company,
Hay Group, Personnel Decisions International, and his own consulting
firm. Among his most formative external accomplishments was the
organization, management, and oversight of a virtual team of 100+
consultants delivering a complex suite of leadership development
programs, training programs, executive coaching, and consulting
following what was, until recently, the largest technology company
merger in history. Prior to consulting, he worked as a
psychotherapist in a family-systems focused clinical practice where
he was also managing partner. He also taught undergraduate
psychology for seven years.
His ownership
and management experience allows Jeffrey to powerfully connect with
the pressures and complexity facing business leaders today – and
tomorrow. His strengths include his ability to quickly develop deep
rapport that leads to profound trust, his commitment to
extraordinary listening – both to what is said and what goes unsaid
– and his creative problem solving that produces the largest
possible results with the smallest possible effort.
Jeffrey earned a Ph.D. in psychology from North Carolina State
University, master’s degrees in clinical social work from the
University of Maryland and Shakespeare studies from the University
of Birmingham, England, and a bachelor's degree in writing from
Queens College, City University of New York.
